ECTA (Canada)

Canada’s Electronic Cigarette Industry – like so many others around the world – has operated under a “Wild West” principle for far too long. This is largely because of regulatory uncertainty as policy-makers try to work out what type of products ecigs are. Canadians deserve better. Along with most electronic cigarette product vendors and consumers in Canada, we recognize the need for appropriate regulation of the Industry. We believe it is time to put an end to the myths, rumours and regulatory uncertainty surrounding these products & their safety.

ECITA (UK)

Founded in March 2010, ECITA is the longest-running trade association for the electronic cigarette industry. We are also one of only two ECig Trade Associations in the world (the Irish Association having followed our example) which is not managed/operated by those engaged in the sale of vaping products, directly or indirectly, which makes it easier for us to represent the interests of our members – and their customers – fairly and fully. We developed the Industry Standard of Excellence, and our members are audited bi-annually to ensure they are fully compliant with all the legal requirements. We have provided Technical Authorship for the first ever industry standard specifically for this sector. PAS 54115 will be published by the British Standards Institute in May 2015.
